Confession of an Education Coach

The coaching and training I provide assist school leaders, teachers, and parents in enhancing their well-being and improving their relationships with the children in their lives. I understand the challenges these roles entail, as they once led me to experience burnout. However, my master's thesis on the causes, management, and prevention of teacher burnout helped me realize that by implementing healthy preventative measures, I could avoid many potential issues in my life.
I must admit that when I share my expertise with others, I have an underlying motive: my greatest desire is to make a positive impact on the lives of children. The statistics on children's emotional and psychological health worldwide are alarming. The data concerning the number of teachers leaving the profession, the challenges in finding school leaders, and the young generation's hesitance to have children are all indicators that being an educator today is a highly demanding and stressful task.
I believe that we ultimately teach by example. Just as we need to put on our own oxygen mask before assisting a child when it drops, we must prioritize taking care of ourselves to set a model for children to follow.
At Wisdom Education Coaching, this mindset underlies all our mindfulness-based training programs. Participants must be dedicated to personal growth, as setting an example is our primary responsibility.
